Around 2018 my friend Tony Bryant who owned a small independent recording studio asked me to stop by as he "had something to show me". Upon ariival I was handed a pen and paper and told to write my favorite songs down and prepare to record them. I still today do not regard myself as a "real musician" and argued but he persisted. The result was a CD titled 'Forever Young' which includes "All Prayed Up" -"Tell Me One More Time" and "Look at Us" {which BTW I paid Harry Fox Agency on all cuts as a matter of principle}. In this age of techno beat country music I would like to personally thank Vince for keeping country music a thing of beauty and saving the ballad as an art form! As for memory of Vince and Paul I will never forget being in the audience at 3rd & Lindsley when Paul's incredible playing on pedal caused Vince to miss his cue for a solo and brought the whole band and song to a complete stop. Vince then said "you try and play sitting next to this so n so" and removed Paul's hat and kissed him on the top of the head. Paul's response was to pick up the pedal steel and move it over about a foot away! Brought a smile and laughter to the whole room. Thanks guys not only for your music but your humanity.
