I went to 3rd and Lindsley 5 times to see Vince and Paul Franklin. Vince is one of my favorite singers!! I wanted to meet him so bad but he always hurried from the stage. One night I was at the front of the platform not 4 feet from him. I was very cold with cold air blowing down my neck. I wasn’t feeling well. I am a nurse and came straight from work to see him and had my white jacket on. I wrapped my black scarf around my head and neck to keep the cold air out. He was doing a little monologue and stopped and looked at me and said, ‘if I had known we had a nun sitting in front of me I would have watched my language’. Everyone laughed! I was embarrassed but I was called ‘the nun’ the rest of the night by everyone. It was fun! I finally got his autograph the next time I went!
