In July of 2018 I went to Nashville for the first time. I knew that Vince was on the road with the Eagles but I was hoping that he would be at 3rd and LIndsley for the Time Jumper show we had tickets for. After all, the Eagles had a break during that time—it wasn’t that farfetched, was it?. Before I left for Nashville, I had a dream and Vince told me "don't you worry, I'm going to be in Nashville". Sounds crazy…I know. My husband and I got to 3rd and Lindsley later than we should have since seating is first come first serve. It was packed 90 minutes before the show. Regardless…we walked to the front of the venue in the hopes there were two open seats. Two gentlemen motioned to two empty chairs at their table and said “there’s your seat”. We couldn’t believe how kind and generous they were. Turns out, they are regulars at the show and they just absolutely made this girl’s day! I asked them if they thought Vince was in the house and they said “probably so because that’s his chair”. What? Sure enough, he comes out with his ball cap on backwards and starts unraveling cords and getting ready for the show. I couldn’t believe it. I’d seen him in concert 3-4 times but this was going to be an entirely different experience. One gentleman at the table encouraged me to walk up and get a picture with him once he was finished setting up. Lucky me, I also got Paul Franklin in the picture too. Do I look like the happiest girl? If this is what you mean by Sweet Memories…..this is hands down, one of the top 5. I’ve been a fan for over 30 years.
