It was October 1994, I was on my honeymoon with my new husband Angelo in Maui, Hawaii. Since we were both golfers, we went to watch a golf tournament at The Kapalua Golf Course and Vince Gill was on the pairing sheet! My husband knew what a fan I was so we went and found him. I instructed my new husband on how I wanted to get a photo with Vince first then an autograph next (photo was the priority!) Vince was so nice, he let me have both! When my girlfriends saw the photo they immediately said “you look like you’re on your honeymoon with Vince Gill”! 😂 I was a huge fan back then and have remained one all these years. It’s easy when Vince has stayed the course and has always been such a humble man who shares his gift so graciously with us all. Next month my husband and I will celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary and I love that I have this memory as part of our story!
