Like my daddy before me, Traditional/Classic Country Music has always been a big part of my life. My sweetest memories were time spent with him (he has since passed), picking and grinning in our living room. He was a steel guitar player; I sang and played the flattop. Our only audience was my Momma, who made it seem like we were playing on the Grand Ol’ Opry. The music was our glue. When we weren’t playing it, we were talking about it He used to laugh and call me the encyclopedia of country music. I miss him and my Momma so much. But I still have the music. Ray Price has always been a favorite of ours. Daddy told me Ray was the only way to get me to sleep as a baby with the colic. Vince, you and Paul have done so much to keep the music alive. I was so happy to see your new album. My family knew your other friend John, and loved the Bakersfield sound as well. We were heartbroken when he left us, but I am glad you met Paul. It was like it was meant to be. The tradition (and the memories) continue just as sweet.
