In 1962, I purchased a Fender stratacaster Sunburst. Played in a band called the Mercy Beats. Also met the love of my life in 1962. In 1964, I joined the Navy and she went to college. I eventually ended up being sent to Vietnam. In 1968, I came home and married the live of my life in 1969. Although have been married for 53 yrs, we’ve been together 1962. We are both retired and I have resumed playing the guitar only this time I am taking lessons. The wife and I have seen Vince Gill in concert on 2 occasions in Visalia, California. We love his music and I just enjoy watching him play the guitar. In times of trouble, my guitar always gets me by. Don’t play in public anymore just to bring back the memories. Don’t know if this is a sweet memory but I enjoyed writing in.
