The only time I ever met John Hughey. At a steel show in Lexington Kentucky. I think I was 12 years old. John Hughey and Dawn Sears were truly “sweet memories” and the song will never be performed better than the way they did it. I’m a steel player and my favorite steel song has always been “look at us”. I always dedicate it to John and miss Jean when I play a steel show. There will never be another buttermilk John. It is a dream of mine to meet Vince and play look at us with him just one time. My first time on the opry I actually played it alone before anyone else got there to set up. Love you Vince and paul! Keep it country
