Since Pure Prairie League was on American Bandstand, I have jokingly referred to Vince Gill as my boyfriend! When I first heard “When Love Finds You,” I said this will be my wedding song one day. Thankfully, my future husband was on board with my plan. The sweetest memory, was my dad learning, and singing the song at our wedding. My dad has been a part of the MN music scene for 50 + years. He was not about to let it be a recording. It was a complete surprise. Years later, we saw Vince and Amy perform their Christmas show, I tried to get VIP passes so my dad could meet him. No such luck. My dad was diagnosed last year with leukemia, and had to put his singing on hold. This has been very hard for him. Unfortunately, our wedding video is still in VHS format! Otherwise, I would have submitted a still from the video. After 26 years, when I hear When Love Finds You, I hear Vince and my dad.
