Was on a plane with Vince Gill and Larry Stewart from Charlotte to Greensboro early 1990’s traveling to the Crosby Golf Tournament. I met them and so nice as I was going to watch Vince play. I never made it to tournament as there was an emergency with my dad before it started. It rained out the game that day. My husband was at the tournament working and talked to Vince about our earlier flight that day and told him about my dad. Vince and my husband tried to call to check on my dad for 30 minutes and unable to reach me. Vince sent his blessings and my husband said he was so genuine and thanked him. I later told my dad Vince Gill wished him well and he could hardly believe it but made him smile. My dad was diagnosed with lung and brain cancer that day however this sweet man lifted Ed our spirits by just showing he cared. We played Go Rest High at my dads funeral and it made me cry so hard, not only was I sad but a happy cry of how Vince made a difference in our moment of grief. I will never forget and forever a fan. Thank you Vince. I have been to 4 of your concerts and hope to attend more. You are an angel on Earth.
